In September 2011 Palerang Council dissolved the existing Hall and Park Management Committees and replaced them with the Captains Flat Area S355 Committee.

Currently the Area S355 Committee is responsible for the management of the Wilkins Memorial Park and the Captains Flat Community Hall.

This means that control of booking the hall, oval, cricket pitch, etc is in local hands. (See Charter.)
